NIC Local is delighted to announce the appointment of Andy Pitt as Business Development Manager, supporting franchisees across the South of England as the network continues its strong growth trajectory.

Andy brings more than 25 years of senior-level experience in franchising, making him a highly valuable addition to the NIC Local team. His career spans both franchisor and franchisee perspectives, giving him a rare and practical understanding of what it takes to build, scale and sustain successful franchise businesses.

His previous roles include serving as National Franchise Manager for McDonald’s, one of the world’s most recognised and structured franchise systems. In addition to this, Andy has contributed to the wider industry through his role on the British Franchise Association (BFA) board, helping to shape best practice standards across UK franchising.

Andy also brings hands-on operational experience, having owned and successfully operated his own franchise in the cleaning sector, which he later sold. This direct franchisee experience gives him first-hand insight into the day-to-day challenges and opportunities faced by business owners in the sector.

In his new role with NIC Local, Andy will be working closely with franchisees across the South of England, providing support to help them grow and develop their businesses. His focus will include business planning, operational performance, and identifying new opportunities for expansion within local markets.

Speaking about his appointment, Andy said:

“I’m really pleased to be joining NIC Local at such an exciting stage of its growth. Having worked across both large-scale franchise systems and as a franchisee myself, I understand the importance of strong support, clear structure, and local entrepreneurship. I’m looking forward to working with franchisees across the South and Midlands to help them achieve their goals and grow sustainable, successful businesses.”

Andy’s appointment further strengthens NIC Local’s commitment to providing high-quality, hands-on support to its franchise network, ensuring franchisees have the guidance and expertise needed to thrive in a competitive market.

We are excited to welcome Andy to the team and look forward to the impact his experience and leadership will bring to the NIC Local network.
